Eric joined Arm Research in 2015 as VP of Research and is responsible for Arm’s research roadmap, execution of research projects, management of strategic research partnerships, Arm’s University Program, and commercializing promising new technologies. Prior to Arm, Eric was the Co-Founder of Obsidian Software and served as CEO and President for 14 years until it’s acquisition by Arm Holdings in 2011. Obsidian Software was the leading provider of verification technology and software used in the design of microprocessors. Post-acquisition, Eric’s held a number of roles in verification, engineering, and commercial strategy at Arm. Prior to Obsidian, Eric worked at both IBM and AMD on leading edge microprocessor designs, some of which failed spectacularly.  Eric is a well-recognized industry leader in semiconductor verification and technology commercialization. During his career he’s been involved with a wide range of entrepreneurial activities involving universities, government, and the entrepreneur community.
